Untill the 20th December, the Cessnock Chamber of Commerce is running the Coffee Challenge in conjunction with the participating cafes and restaurants. The aim is simple – to find that perfect coffee and the best Barista in Cessnock.
Cessnock has a few hidden gems when it comes to searching for that perfect brew. The Coffee challenge is on again to help you do the searching and find that perfect coffee.
Many cafes and restaurants in the Cessnock area are using local coffee makers and locally roasted beans for your coffee. You will also discover, a handful of passionate Barista’s hidden behind those coffee machines, excited to be making your coffee.
One of the participating Café owners stated “We may not all use Twitter or Facebook or even have a website, we may not spend $15,000 on a coffee machine, we may not all have the strict rules of the 7 ounces cup but what we do have, is Passion. We educate our friendly and caring staff. We do serve good coffee, consistently. We use fresh local produce and we are proud to be serving Cessnock.
“In Cessnock, we are lucky that we have some wonderful talented café and restaurant owners who love to serve good food and great coffee,” said Geoff Walker the Cessnock Chamber President “ the Coffee Challenge is our way of promoting these businesses and more specifically the art of making coffee” He continued. I encourage you to visit any of the participating stores and enjoy your favorite brew and vote for your favorite barista”.
